Signs of Fall

I'm quickly becoming a person who lets the pictures speak for themselves. We just came in from a walk around the lake and here are the beautiful sights we took in.

Enough said!

An Update from Jackson

This weekend was my 5th soccer game and it was one of my favorites because I scored a lot of goals and we won because if I didn't score 8 goals, we would've lost :)
I think my team felt pretty good that I scored all those goals. One of my teammates, Abby, kept talking to me each time I kicked a goal - she said things like, "That's our 8th goal so far!"
My favorite goal that I kicked was when I kicked it and it went over the goalie and over the other kids and went straight into the net.
I like that game - it was like a miracle game!
I can't wait till my next game!

Great Day (I should say weekend)

Other than Gertie getting sprayed by a skunk last night, this was an awesome weekend. Today's highlight was the Apple Cider Festival @ Prince Gallitzin State Park. This is a yearly trip for us and today's trip started with a brunch @ our house followed by a group of us going to the cider fest. The favored part of every year's trip is the tractor/hay ride! 1st Day of School

This is a little out of order, but here's a picture of Jackson on his first day of school.....3 weeks ago. He has a really great teacher this year and I think he's going to learn a lot!
Here's to another year as a St. Mike's Cougar!

Jude @ SFU

Jude came to work with me today. We started the morning off @ 8:15 playing in the physical therapy department. Jude's 'job' was to run around and play so the OT and PT students could see what a 3 year old is able do to (motor skills) -he did a really good job showing them his skills ;)

Flipping and jumping!

Next, we went to my office where Jude was a really big 'help' - he colored and used the bathroom (about 4 times), helped copy papers and talked to everyone on the floor, helped make juice and ate candy.

Working hard, but always time for a smile!

Since every good worker needs recharged, we went to the dining hall on campus for some food - Jude's plate had a pile of cucumbers, shredded cheese and shredded carrots.

A good day was had by all!

Really? 8?

It's so hard for me to write this, but my Jackson turns 8 tomorrow. I can't believe it. It doesn't seem right that I type 8. It's just been an amazing 8 years with him. Some days it feels like Jackson has been around forever and other days it seems he was just born. Either way, I can say that he is one very loved little boy. We had his birthday party over the weekend - here are some highlights.

Jackson had a great time and got LOTS of Legos (he's still putting them together)!
Thanks to everyone who visited!
Tomorrow we're sending in [to school] banana chocolate chip muffins and treat bags for all the kiddos. We'll also celebrate by having soccer practice :), where I'm sure we'll take time to sing to Jack!
