Kindergarten Visitation

Jackson's Kindergarten class had 17 visitors today - next year's K class. I volunteered to help out for the day. Wow! am I tired. It was a really busy day - hope all the visitors had a good time. One special visitor was Zach!

Watching TV

It was a snow day for Jackson yesterday - he took advantage of relaxing and watching TV with brother!

Drum

On Monday evening, the World Drumming Ensemble of SFU held a drum concert @ St. Mike's as a fundraiser for the music program. It was a blast (although it felt a little unbalanced since Jeremy was home with a sick Jude) - the turn out was great and everyone had such a wonderful time.

Our good friends Erik and Jo (back row) play in the ensemble!

Jackson with some of his classmates!

Jim Donovan, drumming ensemble director, Drummer, former member of Rusted Root, SFU Instructor, and friend totally rocked the crowd! (I have a link to his blog on the side -check it out!)

It's Catholic School's Week

Jackson has almost 100 days of Kindergarten in so far. Today starts Catholic School's Week and Saint Michael's has all kinds of things planned for the kiddos (including a drum concert tonight that I helped to organize). There was a children's mass and open house on Saturday. This year's theme is service.

Jackson is standing next to the Kindergarten's family quilt - each student brought a photo of their family in - you can kinda see our photo here.

Jackson's seat in the classroom is at the end of the table. His teacher tells us he is a very good student and is very organized - thanks Jeremy (that organization stuff doesn't come from me. Now, if his teacher said he was chatty, I'd take all the blame on that one).

Each Kindergartner had to draw a picture of something they do that is considered "service". Jackson wrote that he, "gives food to animals." That's my boy - caring for God's creatures!

The World We Live In

This is Jude watching Pee-Wee's Playhouse on the IPod. It's amazing how the boys are so good with technology. Quite frankly, I think we're all just a little tired of watching Pee-Wee's Big Adventure on the TV, so this is a good way for Jude to get his fix and the rest of us to keep our sanity! He'll come up to us and say, "wee-wee" or "wee-bee" and that means, "I want to watch Pee-Wee and if you don't put it on for me, I'll continue to make eye contact with you and dance like Pee-Wee until you put the movie on for me." I remember Jackson was like that with tractor movies - I guess we all have our favorites. Little Jude-Man is under the weather now, so we'll let him watch P.W. all he wants - anything to make him feel a little better.

Snow Much Fun

These photos were from last Thursday - the temps were around 30, so we went outside to play in the snow a little. It's been so cold this winter that we've been watching the snow from the warmth of our house. Yeah, I"m ready for spring! Jackson and best buddy, Zachary!
Jude tasting the goodness of snow - remember the Christmas Charlie Brown special where Lucy claims she doesn't eat December snow - only January or February snow? It must be sweeter.....

Me and the boys - yes! That's us on the swings - what the heck; they were up, so why not?
