Kennywood

Monday was our Kennywood trip - I love that park. We had such a great time. We met my parents in the parking lot and then met up with my friend, Kerri and her gang. It was fun to travel in a group - everyone was so agreeable!

Jackson's highlights included the Log Jammer and the Racer (I think it used to be called the Red Racer way back in the day and so I still refer to it as that). Jude managed to squeeze in a nap (never in a million years did I think he would nap in his stroller at a park), so we got to stay longer which made everyone happy! I'm guessing Jeremy's highlight was the BMX show. My highlight was riding the Racer with Jackson and the Kangaroo with Jude! We all had a wonderful time!

Let's have a parade

Yesterday was the big firemen's parade in Loretto! Not only did we watch the parade (and video tape it), but we got there early and walked through the parking lot where all the vehicles lined up for the parade! The boys loved it (and so did I:). We're looking forward to another big parade in Ashville next week during the county convention! Lots more video and lots more photos!

Updates

I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I just took the opportunity to download photos from the camera, so this will be a longer post!

This is a photo from Jude's Birthday party - from LAST weekend, not this past weekend (boy it has been a while since I posted). Thanks to Grammy Linda for the awesome cake - Jude is still talking about it!

Shortly after Jude's party, I decided that I was going to pull out my card-making supplies and make 100 cards...........it took me a week, but I did it! This is me and my big mess of supplies. You might be wondering, "How did you keep Jude away from all of that?" Well, I didn't. Many of my supplies ended up in the lettuce garden outside the windows you see behind me in the picture!
OMG - had to share this one because it is so sweet!

The boys got haircuts - doesn't Jackson look so grown up?

We did DelGrosso's Park yesterday! The kids had a blast - I will post more photos of our trip in another post!

Carnival Time!

We made our yearly trip to the Cresson carnival on Monday evening (yes, I realize it's Friday when I'm posting this). We had a really fun time. The boys wanted to ride everything. I know the highlight for me was taking the boys on the ferris wheel - the boys have no fear, they jumped right on. I can't believe Jude was even allowed on it. We ran into a lot of friends and family, so that made the evening even better. Thank goodness we went Monday b/c every night since then has been rainy or freezing cold.

On another note, we're only about 9 hours away from Jude turning 2. Wow! I can so clearly remember his arrival, like it was yesterday. Good times and memories. We love you, buddy!

Happy 4th to all.

Hilton Head Beach Trip

Our trip south was great. Although the ride was llllooonnnggg, it was worth it! The weather was perfect (hot and humid) for our trip.

We left Friday and stayed in Wilmington, NC that evening. We woke up Saturday and drove to Myrtle Beach and played there for about an hour (that was kind of impromptu, but we were so excited to touch the water, we couldn't help it). From Myrtle Beach, we drove down through Charleston (worth going back to someday) and then on to Hilton Head.

While in Hilton Head, we biked a lot, spent time at the beach, spent time in the hot tub, drove around (and finally got the hang of the traffic circles), ate, hung out with Dana and Nate, saw so many cool things.

We left Wednesday afternoon, drove even further south to Savanah, GA for lunch (definitely didn't get to spend enough time in that cool city). Then we drove to Amy K's that evening in Columbia, SC, stayed over night and then drove home on Friday. The drive home was long, but we made some cool stops along the way - Pipestem State Park in WV and drove over the New River Gorge Bridge.

The boys were so good in the car the entire time - they made the trip so much fun. Poor Jackson arrived home with double ear infections, but is on the mend. We all arrived home totally wiped out and in need of some heavy-duty sleep. This trip is one we'll remember forever!
