Mini Vacation

Well, we're headed to Indiana this afternoon. We're going to see Sara Bareillis @ IUP and then we're camping @ Dana and Nate's house. We'll be back tomorrow, hopefully with some photos!

Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail......

The weekend was held ransom by local Easter egg hunts! Jeremy took the boys to one yesterday at Saint Francis (I did not go because I was recovering from a visit from the vomit fairy - yucky). Today we all went to one at Saint Mike's. Both were great and the kids filled their buckets with a bunch of candy that they don't need :) I think we still have 1 or 2 to get to next weekend. Jackson has a short week because of Easter and we are going to see Sara Bareillis in concert on Thursday night at IUP (and then camping @ Dana and Nate's). Gotta go make lunchs, pick out clothes, iron clothes, and pack bags for tomorrow.

It's April!

Thank goodness! It's been a long winter (not that today is really any nicer out, but we're getting there). There are many signs of Spring around our house - the geese and ducks have been nesting on the lake (I haven't looked for nests, but I know they're around - I'll post photos if I find them), the day lillies are coming up, the lilac tree is budding, the boys want to be outside all the time, it's getting lighter a little earlier and darker a little later. I love it.

The Lilac Tree is starting to bloom - I can't wait to smell them.

Ah, the Gator - why walk when you can ride?

The lake - we are so lucky to have this view everyday.

Jude Video

Here's Jude saying some new things.

Fresh and New

The boys got very-much-needed haircuts today; next on the list is mamma... Sue did a nice job on their hair - as you can see the 3 bottom photos in the collage are the "befores" and the top 2 are the "afters". It always amazes me how haircuts instantly turn my babies into boys; they look so grown up and distinguished.

This week went really fast - we had a couple of nice days which meant we got some "outside time." Jude's new things this week are saying, "Hey, baby" and when you ask him what G-Gram says when she gives hugs, he says, "oooo ahhh." Jackson is involved in a little research project with one of my students @ SFU, so he started that this week - he gets to do soccer drills as part of it, so he's lovin' that!

Oh, and HAPPY SPRING - finally!

What a Personality

Our second child is turning out to be a little different from our first. Let's just say he's a little more "free-style." He's a little more laid back and likes to get attention by doing funny things - kinda like the Oreo story from last night. Here are some photos of him being, well, him!!!

Here, Jude pulled a marshmallow (which he calls "manos") apart and put the sticky ends on his cheeks.

Here, Jude swiped my Dad's glasses and was having fun with them.

This is how Jude helps himself to pretzels at my Mom's
