What a Day!

I did it! Finally graduated! Today! I feel so good. We all went to graduation this morning @10am and then came back to our house for a party and Mother's Day celebration. I have to say, "Thank You!" to so many people (and this is a good place to do it since you all read it:). First, to Jeremy and my boys: I'm not really sure how you found it in you guys to always be ok with me staying late @ work to work on projects, or spend time on the phone doing conference calls, or whatever. It's your patience and support that I appreciate so much. I think my diploma should read "the Amy Hudkins Family" - I surely did not do this on my own. To my parents: you are always there for us - whatever we need. Thanks for your unending support and encouragement and also for all the food you brought out today - and Happy Mom's Day, Ga-Ga! To my in-laws: thanks for everything - you're always right here for us! Thanks for the Reflexology kit and all the food you made for today! Thanks Ape and the gang for the gift certificate - you know I'll put it to good use! To Dana and Natester: you are always encouraging me/us to greater things - thanks for your inspiration and support. Thanks for the good-smelling Burt's Bees stuff (I think I need a bath tonight:) and the gift card - :) And to all my friends, who are like family to me - you are always there to listen, encourage, brainstorm ideas, proof read, etc......thanks.
I love you all and I'm so blessed to have you all in my life.

New Bedding!

It's been a long time coming, but Jackson is officially in his bed full-time! His reward: new bedding - all these little animals keep him safe and happy all night long. My reward: a full night's sleep! Jude has also been sleeping so much better since he has a buddy in the bed next to him :)
Other big accomplishments of Jackson's: independent shoe tying, identifying all coins and thier values, and counting to 100 by 5s. He is also doing a great job with reading! I don't remember being taught reading in Kindergarten - I don't think I learned to read till at least sophomore year in high school..........

Oh no!

Jude's not the easiest kiddo to dress. With that said, Jeremy and I were wrestling with him to get him dressed for bed last night and this is what we ended up with (2 legs in 1 hole). Go ahead, say, "ooo, that's awful!" We fixed it, don't worry. Jude is crying in this photo, not b/c of the pants, but b/c he was mad I was taking a picture.

Mr. Mothee!

Can't believe bugs are out already, but they are. We've become a host family for some moths and the boys love them. They run around chasing after them shouting, "Mr. Mothee, where are you? Where'd he go?" Of course, they always seem to find Mr. Mothee about 2 minutes before bedtime (so it takes a little while to calm down).

I guess this is also the start of the 'bug blog' that we started last summer when Jackson wanted to take a picture of every bug or creature he found.

Easter-y Stuff

I have no photos of Easter - I didn't take any, not one. I didn't even bring out the camera. Why? No reason, just didn't feel like trying to get Jude to smile. He's just going through a phase where he doesn't want to get his picture taken. So instead of getting frustrated over having 50 photos of the sides and back of his head, I just didn't take any!

We had a really nice Easter, though. We had breakfast with Jeremy's Gram and then hung out for the afternoon then went to my parents for the evening. It was pretty relaxed. The Easter bunny found our house and also found Grammy Linda's and Ga-Ga's. It was like Christmas for the boys - Legos, Mega-rigs, matchboxes, DVDs (Bolt and Raiders of the Lost Arc), books, and of course, some candy.

Jackson spent 2 hours today putting together this awesome Lego combine - a gift from Dana and Nate.

Sara B Concert

We had a blast at the Sara B concert. The kids did great and Jude danced the night away. We waited around after the concert and got to see Sara and her band get into their escort vehicle. I shouted, "Sara, my kids love you!" and she looked over and said, "Thank you!" and waved to us and continued to wave to us as they drove away! It was awesome.......

There weren't more than 400 people at the concert so we were able to get a good view.

Her opening act was April Smith - cool, cool stuff -if you get a chance, check her out @ http://www.aprilsmith.com/ .

This is Sara B. covering a U2 song.

Mini Vacation

Well, we're headed to Indiana this afternoon. We're going to see Sara Bareillis @ IUP and then we're camping @ Dana and Nate's house. We'll be back tomorrow, hopefully with some photos!
