What a Personality

Our second child is turning out to be a little different from our first. Let's just say he's a little more "free-style." He's a little more laid back and likes to get attention by doing funny things - kinda like the Oreo story from last night. Here are some photos of him being, well, him!!!

Here, Jude pulled a marshmallow (which he calls "manos") apart and put the sticky ends on his cheeks.

Here, Jude swiped my Dad's glasses and was having fun with them.

This is how Jude helps himself to pretzels at my Mom's

Ordeos

I have no photo to show for this because we were in the car, but here's the story and maybe you can imagine it. We were on our way home from Altoona this evening and each enjoying a little snack - Jackson convinced us to buy Oreos- ones with yellow centers for spring time (as if there isn't enough bad stuff in Oreos, we got a little extra coloring). So Jude asks for an "Ordeo" and after he eats one, I asked Jeremy to turn on the light in the car and I'm not sure where most of the oreo ended up - in Jude's mouth on around it - it looked like he licked his face and dipped it in dirt.......maybe you had to be there, but it was so funny (and cute).

I'm sure that since there are still many oreos left over, there'll be another opportunity for a photo of Jude and his "ordeos."

Jude Drumming

Since I put the Fudge-o video up, Jude has taken a liking to watching "Jude videos." So here is another Jude video - I'll have to make more soon!

Sea Lion Video from the Zoo

Just wanted to share this little video of the boys watching the sea lions at the zoo. Listen for Jude laughing - he's got this new thing that when something is funny, he bends over, puts his hands to his mouth, laughs aloud (it's a totally forced laugh) and then says, "Funny!"

Fudge-O Update

I totally forgot that I had video of the fudge-o incident and I somehow forgot that Jude was trying to feed it to Gertie.......

Fudge-O

OK, when I was little, we used to eat these things called "fudge-o's" - they are frozen fudge bars, but I don't think they're called that anymore (consumers are way too smart nowadays to buy a frozen edible treat that sounds like an accident that happens in your pants). ANYWAY, I bought a box of them at the store the other day and not surprisingly, the boys love them. So I taught them to run around saying, "fudge-o" in a high-pitched voice and it's hilarious. Well, Jude doesn't understand that if you set your fudge-o down on the carpet, it's going to melt and make a huge mess (and that's just what he did). I took his froze treat away and he threw a fit, rolling around on the ground shouting, "Fudge-oooooooo," "Fudge-ooooooooo." It was cracking us up so bad (does that make me a bad mom?) because he had fudge-o all over his face and his hair was all crazy, and well, I guess you just had to be there (at least you might be able to understand by seeing ths photo).
Can you see the chocolate on his shirt? The top photo shows chocolate all over his face and the bottom photo shows him saying, "Fudge-O!"

Our Trip to the Zoo

I'm so glad we got away yesterday. The trip to the zoo was great- both boys really enjoyed it. Weather was good, crowds were minimal, boys were totally interested in all the animals! We rented a little wagon and both boys rode in it from exhibit to exhibit. We packed a lunch and ate half-way through our trip. After the zoo, we went to the Church Brew Works on Liberty Ave (near the Strip District) - it's an old Catholic church turned into a brewery/restaurant (their famous quote is, "and on the 8th day, God created beer.") Both boys slept on the way home. I totally crashed last evening- zoned out and fell asleep at 9pm (it was a long week). Thanks to my beautiful husband who got the boys settled and into bed!
